It starts with a dream…

                                                       

Poverty is a complex issue that will require many different solutions. Ending poverty is about much more than money. It is about dreams, hope, opportunity and a vision of the future, of the kind of society we could be, if we seized the opportunity before us to significantly reduce poverty..This is what the children said they would appreciate...  

To be heard and respected.

To have a place in society and be valued.

To have choice, and opportunity.

To be able to have a partner, a relationship.

Not to be judged because of my situation.

To live without fear or worry.

To have a permanent job with benefits. 

To one day own my own business.

To pay off my parents debts.

I would make sure everyone would have enough to eat and no one would go hungry.

To live in a beautiful big house.

I would have my own bedroom.
To afford a hobby.

There would be grocery stores nearby.

To buy my mother a house.

To be happy, have confidence and make a success of my life.

There would be safe, affordable child care in my community.

People with learning disabilities would have the opportunity to learn in their own way.

To have my own car.

Desire an end to violence and discrimination against all street children.

The government to give assistance in addictions treatment programs.

 He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy. Psa 72:13
