The use of the term 'Street child/youth" for the vulnerable and homeless in my blog. 

• It is not my intention to degrade or belittle the children and vulnerable persons living on the streets in South Africa and across the globe in this blog post by referring to them using the term 'street children.' 
• The street children that I have mentioned in this blog have stated that they want the term 'street child' to be used because it describes their situation accurately. The term clearly explains their predicament and they want  society to recognise this fact. 
• The children say that to change the term would mean that society will understand and reason that they have had their needs met.
• These children/youth say that any other term besides 'street child' will not justify their desperate situation.
